We build wheels! Just as the bike frame and fork is tuned to a specific mission, so it is with wheels. We can build wheels to customer requirements. The business owner is Cytech qualified to do this.
Typically I prefer straightforward two or three cross spoke pattern, dependent on the parameters of hub and wheel. The cost of a hand-built wheel is (at the time of writing) quite reasonable because it is something I like doing.
Custom wheels really come into their own with the resurgence of internal gearing and dynohub systems, and increased use of electric motor hubs. All these products need a wheel to be built around them. We will be happy to discuss the best solutions for any job.
