What makes buying a frame from us different?
When working with a custom frame it is important to ensure it is fully prepped before hanging the components off it. Surely all frames come ready to build? We go the extra mile to make sure your parts interface cleanly against a flat surface for optimal life and performance. So before sending it to you we take it out the box and do the following:
- Tap the threads and face the Bottom Bracket
- Ream and face the head tube
- Tap the eyes for the rack, mudguards and bottle mounts.
- Face any ISO disc mounts parallel to axle
Browse our frames for sale. Please be advised that these are not always held on the premises so allow a couple of weeks for delivery.
Donor Builds
One reason people buy a frame is to rebuild their existing bike around it, usually as an upgrade, but maybe the old one is worn out, their style of riding has changed, or because the frame they got is the wrong size. We can deal with the switching over of the parts, and whilst they are off the bike, the parts can be cleaned properly. We charge £120 for this service on top of the frame. Customers are advised to seek advice as to whether the parts they have are compatible, however if new parts are required we will be happy to substitute them. Errors happen and we do not charge more than the manufacturer’s list price for the new parts.
