Buying a used bike

Heart of Wales Bikes often has a selection of used bikes for sale, typically on display in the verandah. The premium used bikes will be fully overhauled and listed next to the new bikes on our Bikesoup page

Disposing of your Used bike

Heart of Wales Bikes introduce the “BikeBox + SoapBox” programme. This will enable you to maximise the value of your old bike and is on the basis of “no sale, no fee” The bike-box and soapbox is included free of charge with any new bike, you only pay for shipping where handover in person is not possible.

Soap Box. We will give you a voucher that you can redeem on BikeSoup: The UK’s Premier New and Used Bicycle Marketplace. We will be happy to give a valuation, write a bit of editorial on the bike and take photos, should you wish, all of which can be emailed to you. You can then manage the advert and any enquiries.
Bike Box. We will package your old bike in the box that your new one came in. Make sure you have all the photos and info you need because we will pack it good and secure. You will then have a boxed bike taking up not too much space and ready to ship when you find a buyer.

In addition to BikeBox + Soapbox, we remain willing to offer Part Exchange against new bikes.

I’v got an unwanted an old bike and don’t want to buy a new one. Will you give me anything for it?

Generally speaking, we won’t. There are plenty of ways for a private seller to dispose of their bike: car boot sale, newspaper small ad, card at the supermarket to name just three. However in certain instances we make an exception, such as with rare or vintage bikes.

In the interests of discouraging bike crime we request that anybody trading a used bike through the store have the following:
  1. Proof of bike ownership. There are a number of widely recognised bike registration schemes. You can register right here, and your details will be added to the database at Bike Revolution.
  2. Seller must bring credible Photo ID.
